Audience with Caesar

Acts 25:11-12 reveal an interesting historical and Biblical insight:
Paul, speaking before Governor Festus, determining that he would not be safe or have a fair trial if sent for trial back to Jerusalem, said (as a Roman citizen) “I appeal to Caesar.”
Porcius Festus responded: “You have appealed to Caesar, to Caesar you shall go.” And that triggered a journey of transport that turned out to be rather lengthy and challenging, but it was done under the authority and protection of earth’s mightiest known kingdom. In an often brutal and brutish government, a citizen was guaranteed the right of appeal to his sovereign.
SURELY, if we appeal to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER in prayer, to Our FATHER we shall go!!
How much more than Caesar will our SOVEREIGN gladly give us a welcome audience? And that under all the protection and provision of the MIGHTIEST KINGDOM that will ever be known!!

Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are. ~ Rachel Naomi Remen

Faith – James Griffin

Don’t hold God to promises He’s never made: “You won’t have problems in this life.”
Don’t choose to believe what our circumstances and feelings will tell us to believe: “You’ve messed up big time, God really can’t help, God has abandoned you just like your friends have.”
Don’t trust in your feelings, trust in His faithfulness.
Don’t put more stock in what you feel, than what you know He said.

I define comfort as self-acceptance when we finally learn that self-care begins and ends with ourselves, we no longer demand sustenance and happiness from others. ~ Jennifer Louden
